Position: Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach

Hendrix College, an NCAA Division III member of the Southern Athletic Association, invites applications for the position of assistant coach in women’s basketball. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all aspects of daily operations of the program including, but not limited to: practice and game coaching, on and off campus recruiting, film exchange, practice and game scheduling, and team travel. A second duty within the athletic department will be included with this position. This is a ten month position starting August 1st, 2012 and ending May 31st, 2013.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes, show the ability to recruit, develop and motivate quality student-athletes, possess good communication and leadership skills, and a knowledge of and commitment to all college, conference, and NCAA regulations. A bachelor’s degree is required, previous women’s basketball coaching and playing experience is preferred.
