Harford Community College is a Division I member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference. The College’s intercollegiate athletics program is dedicated to the continued development of skill and sportsmanship in all students through a focus on academic and personal success of our student athletes. Many students continue their athletic careers as valued players on four-year college and university teams. The intercollegiate athletics program includes 14 teams for men and women students under the direction of a well-trained, experienced athletics director, professional staff, and coaches.
The head coach recruits student athletes, organizes and conducts practices, attends meetings and events related to the athletics department and team achievement, assists the Athletic Director in hiring assistant coaches, and performs other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
A bachelor’s degree and previous coaching and/or playing experience required, preferably at the collegiate level. Equivalent coaching experience may be considered. CPR/First Aid and AED certifications are strongly encouraged.
